Dental implants

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth without the need to intervene in the surrounding teeth, making it the most effective and gentle method of replacing missing teeth.
Dental implants are artificial replacements for your own teeth. Today, they are usually an artificial titanium root that is surgically inserted into the jawbone. The dental implant then acts as an anchor that holds the new, artificial tooth in place. Implants are used to replace one or more teeth, as abutments for fixed or removable dentures. At our dental clinic, we use high-quality implants from Swiss manufacturers Camlog and Alpha Bio implants.
Implants can be used to make a fixed prosthesis or to hold a removable prosthesis. Professionally placed implants can function for many years with proper home care. The condition for implant placement is healthy gums and enough bone in the jaw to support it. If you do not have enough quality bone, this can be solved by so-called augmentation, or adding missing bone to the implant site.
How is a dental implant inserted?
During the first phase of the surgical procedure, we will insert a dental implant into your jawbone under the gum and sew up the wound. This is followed by the healing phase, when the implant is fixed in the bone. This phase lasts approximately 3-6 months. Once the tissue has healed, the second part of the procedure takes place - the application of a healing roller to shape the surrounding gum. In the next visit, we will then take an impression of the crown part, which is then attached to the implant. After the insertion of dental implants, it is necessary to regularly visit a dental hygienist twice a year and maintain proper oral hygiene. Implants can be more expensive than other types of replacement teeth and are not covered by health insurance. However, in most cases, these are only one-time costs compared to other methods of replacing missing teeth.
We will replace your tooth roots with dental implants.
