Dental hygiene

Proper dental hygiene is an important part of preventing tooth decay and gum disease.
Our dental hygienist will teach you how to take care of your teeth on a daily basis to ensure a beautiful and healthy smile. She will also remove tartar and pigmentation, which cannot be achieved with regular cleaning.

The result of dental hygiene is clean teeth without biofilm and gums without bleeding. This condition is necessary for all other dental procedures. The treatment is non-invasive, painless and, in addition to prevention, also has an aesthetic function - teeth whitening.
How is dental hygiene carried out in the dental office?
Bring your own toothbrush. To help you remember where plaque is and isn't present, we will use a special stain that detects plaque. This will help you see the hard-to-clean areas of your mouth that you can't reach with your toothbrush.
We will determine where plaque could be better removed with more care and better brushing techniques.
We will explain how to handle a toothbrush in your mouth and practice the correct brushing technique together. We will recommend suitable tools for effective home cleaning.
We then professionally remove tartar not only just above the gum line, but also below the gum line. We polish the surfaces of the teeth cleaned in this way. The result is a smooth surface on which plaque adheres less. By regularly completing dental hygiene in the dental office and following the rules of home tooth cleaning, your teeth will remain aesthetic, healthy and functional in the long term.
To have healthy teeth and gums, visit your dentist twice a year.
