Dental surgery, wisdom teeth extraction

The most common dental surgical procedures include the extraction of a tooth or remaining roots, surgical equipping of the tooth, and resection of the root tip of the tooth.

Wisdom teeth, or “figure eights,” are the last set of teeth to appear in the mouth, usually between the ages of 17 and 25. While they can be a healthy addition to your smile, they often don’t have enough room to grow in properly, which can lead to a number of problems.
Why is picking eights sometimes necessary?
Space limitations
Many people do not have enough space in their jaws for their wisdom teeth, which can cause them to grow irregularly or even leave the tooth hidden under the gum, which can lead to pain and infection.
Cleaning problems
The eights are often difficult to reach for routine cleaning, which increases the risk of cavities and gum disease.
Discomfort and pain
Irregularly growing wisdom teeth can press on neighboring teeth, causing pain and other complications.
What to expect during extraction?
Consultation
A doctor or oral surgeon at our office will first perform a thorough examination, including X-rays, and determine the best procedure for removing wisdom teeth.
Intervention
Wisdom teeth removal is performed under local anesthesia. This means you will be awake, but the area around the tooth will be numbed.
After the procedure
After the extraction, you can expect some mild pain, swelling, and sometimes bruising around the area of the procedure. Your doctor will give you instructions for aftercare, including recommendations for eating, cleaning, and taking pain medication.
Are you very afraid of "tooth extraction" or local anesthesia?
Are you very afraid of "tooth extraction" or local anesthesia? Are you bothered by a gag reflex? Every invasive procedure at our clinic can be made more pleasant by inhaling nitrous oxide or Entonox. Entonox is an effective and safe non-invasive inhalation analgesic that has a rapid onset and also a rapid withdrawal of effect. It has analgesic, mild sedative and anxiolytic effects. The patient is conscious during the inhalation and does not need to be accompanied, and can even drive a motor vehicle half an hour after the inhalation. It is suitable for both adult and pediatric patients.
